WELCOME TO THE FAMILY

WHEN HE ARRIVES, HE WILL CALL TOGETHER HIS FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS, SAYING, ‘REJOICE WITH ME BECAUSE I HAVE FOUND MY LOST SHEEP. IN THE SAME WAY, THERE IS MORE JOY IN HEAVEN OVER ONE LOST SINNER WHO REPENTS AND RETURNS TO GOD THAN OVER NINETY-NINE OTHERS WHO ARE RIGHTEOUS AND HAVEN’T STRAYED AWAY!

YOU’VE MADE THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION. NOW, ALLOW JESUS TO TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE.

STEP ONE

PRAY

Prayer is simply a way of talking with God. He is a loving Father that gave His Son to save you. So the point isn’t to bring Him your to-do list but to have constant conversations, everyday, about everything. Start making it a habit to talk to God about things that are on your mind. Just like a new friendship, the more time you spend together and in conversation, the closer you feel to each other. Prayer is very similar, if you want to grow in your walk with Jesus, spend time with Him. Remember to make time to listen and pay attention to His response, which you will often find when you read His Word — the Bible.

STEP TWO

READ

The Bible is the Word of God. Every book, every verse, and every word was inspired by the Holy Spirit who prompted these things to be written down by people of God through many generations. Make it a habit to read the Bible every day not just for the check mark. God shows us His character through His word and gives us principles for our everyday living. If you want to understand who you are in Christ and what His plan is for your life - read His word. If you need help understanding the Bible, join a Bible study group or follow a Bible reading plan to get started!

STEP THREE

Commit

A vital part of following Jesus is being connected to His body - the local church. A church is not a building that you gather in but rather a family of believers who represent Jesus, are filled with His power, and are carrying out His plan on this earth. You won’t get very far alone on this journey. Attending services, getting plugged in, applying your gifts and growing together in life group will edify, encourage, and strengthen your faith.
